  1. It is also known as Kanha–Kisli National Park.
  2. It is one of the tiger reserves of India and the largest national park of the state of Madhya Pradesh and in Central India.
  3. The park hosts fauna such as Bengal tiger, Indian leopard, sloth bear, barasingha (adapted to swampy areas) and dhole.
  4. The reserve has lowland forest of a mixture of sal (Shorea robusta) and other mixed-forest trees, interspersed with meadows. 
  5. Indian ghost tree (Davidia involucrata) can also be seen in the dense forest.
  6. The land was an ancestral home of the Gond and Baiga tribes.
