Picoflare jets

Picoflare jets are small jets of charged particles that are expelled intermittently from the corona of the Sun, at supersonic speeds.
They could emanate from coronal holes where the sun’s magnetic field stretches into the space.
The picoflare jets could supply energy and plasma to the solar wind (a continuous stream of charged particles flowing outwards from the Sun’s corona).
It forms a component of space weather within the heliosphere.
The picoflare jets have been observed by the Solar Orbiter spacecraft of NASA.
