Anahat Singh, a 15-year-old, became the second youngest title winner at the Senior National Squash Championships 2023, marking a significant milestone in the tournament's history.

15-year-old Anahat Singh made history at the Senior National Squash Championships 2023 by becoming the second-youngest title winner in the illustrious history of the competition. It was an incredible turn of events. Tanvi Khanna, the young prodigy's opponent in the final, was sadly forced to withdraw from the match midway through because of a knee injury. Given that Anahat defeated a competitor 12 years older than her, her victory was historic.

In addition to being a major accomplishment for Anahat personally, her victory is also a landmark one for Indian squash. She won the title at the young age of 15, showcasing her talent, tenacity, and fortitude on the court. An additional element of amazement surrounds Anahat's achievement: the 12-year age gap between her and Tanvi Khanna, her opponent.

National Squash Championship Match: Anahat Victory

An exciting intergenerational battle took place in the championship match, with Anahat losing the first game 9–11. She did, however, demonstrate her tenacity in the second game, leading 6-4 prior to Tanvi Khanna's tragic injury. Anahat won the championship and made history as the second-youngest Senior National Squash Champion in 23 years as a result of Tanvi Khanna's retirement.

Anahat Singh: Previous Achievements

She was the youngest athlete to represent India in the 2022 Commonwealth Games, having turned 14 years old. In 2023 Asian Games, Anahat Singh won bronze in both teams and mixed doubles.
She won the first round of CWG 2022 against Jada Ross of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. She and Khanna were both on the Asiad team this year when India won the bronze in the women's team category. She also won bronze in mixed doubles together with Abhay Singh. Abhay was defeated by Velavan Senthilkumar in the men's National Championship final, 10-12 3-11 10-12.

Asian Games Magnificence

At the 2023 Asian Games, the young squash sensation maintained her success on the global scene by winning bronze in both mixed doubles by teams. We won bronze for India in the women's team competition thanks to the contributions of Anahat Singh and Tanvi Khanna to the Asian team. In addition, Anahat and Abhay Singh took home the mixed doubles bronze.
