RRB Goods Guard Exam Pattern 2024

The exam pattern 2024 for RRB Goods Guard will consist of a computer-based examination that shall be conducted in the online mode for all the posts. The CBT is a common exam for all the posts of NTPC vacant in all the RRB(s). The exam includes questions from topics such as General Awareness, Arithmetic, and General Intelligence and Reasoning.

RRB Goods Guard Exam Pattern for CBT - I

The computer-based test will be object-based and includes questions from topics such as General Awareness, Arithmetic, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The CBT - 1 is only qualifying in nature, which means, the marks scored by the candidates in the CBT - 1 will not be counted for the final selection.

• However, candidates who will fail in CBT - 1 will be considered disqualified from the recruitment process and will not proceed to the next stage of recruitment.
• Each question will be of 1 mark in CBT – I. The maximum mark for the CBT is 100 marks and the time allotted is 90 minutes and the questions asked will be MCQ type. Also there will be a negative marking of 1/3rd mark for each wrong answer attempted by the candidates.
• The PWD (Person with Disabilities) candidates will be given an extra 30 minutes (Total: 120 Minutes) for the CBT - 1.
• The language of the questions will be English, Hindi, Urdu, or other local languages, depending upon the RRB chosen by the applicants while filling out the online application form.

RRB Goods Guard Exam Pattern CBT – II

• The marks scored by the candidates in the CBT - 2 will be considered while preparing for the final merit list.
• The CBT - 2 consists of 120 Questions related to different subjects like Maths, Reasoning, and Current Affairs. Each question will be of 1 mark and the maximum mark for the CBT is 120 marks and the time allotted is 90 minutes.
• The questions asked will be MCQ type also there will be a negative marking of 1/3rd mark for each wrong answer attempted by the candidates.
• The PWD candidates will be given extra 30 minutes (Total: 120 Minutes) for CBT - 2.

The language of the questions will be English, Hindi, Urdu, or other local languages, depending upon the RRB chosen by the applicants while filling the online application form. More information about the CBT – I Exam is given below in table-

RRB Goods Guard Skill Test -Typing Test/ CBAT

• It is computer skill based test where candidate typing speed will be judged-
  English Typing Speed – 30 WPM
  Hindi Typing Speed – 25 WPM
• Those candidates who have passed the CBT will be called further to appear for the second stage of the RRB Goods Guard recruitment process, that is, Computer-Based Aptitude Test.
• The candidates need to secure a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify. This applies to all candidates irrespective of their category or community. No relaxation in the minimum T- Score is permissible.
• The CBAT will have questions and answer options only in English and Hindi Languages. There will be no negative marking in CBAT.
• Candidates must note that they must bring an official Vision Certificate to the examination centre while appearing for the aptitude test. Candidates who fail to bring their vision certificate from an Eye Specialist will not be allowed to appear for the aptitude test.

RRB Goods Guard Document Verification / Medical Examination

RRB Goods Guard final stages is hiring procedure, which include document verification and a medical test. Candidates must produce their original papers at this step, in accordance with the instructions on their online application form, including mark sheets, proofs of birth, cast certificates, etc. All of the selected candidates will have a medical examination in addition to the document verification.

Candidates who successfully complete the medical test and document verification procedure will have a chance to be included on the final merit list of candidates who were chosen based on their performance throughout the whole recruiting process.
