Odisha is going to start hosting Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2 on December 24, 2023.

The second edition of Ultimate Kho Kho (UKK) is set to commence on December 24, 2023, and will conclude on January 13, 2024, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Cuttack, Odisha, marking a significant milestone in the sport's history.

Ultimate Kho Kho (UKK) is coming back with a Season 2, slated to debut on December 24, 2023, and run through January 13, 2024. It's a thrilling follow-up to its spectacular first edition. With millions of fans excitedly awaiting its return, this high-octane sporting event will take place at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Cuttack, Odisha, promising excitement and entertainment.

Odisha Government Vision & Enthusiasm towards Sports

Inspired by the vision of "sports for youth, youth for future" held by Hon'ble Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the Odisha government has not only developed outstanding world class multi-sport infrastructure as well as sporting experiences for the state's sports enthusiasts, but it has also hosted some of the major international sport s events in the state.

The Odisha government's Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Sports, and Youth Services, Usharkanti Behera, expressed enthusiasm about organizing the event. He highlighted the popularity of Kho-Kho in the state and the importance of bringing the second edition to Odisha. The government is committed to making sure the season succeeds and hopes to encourage Odishans to take an active interest in the sport.

The Odisha government and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik were acknowledged by the organizers for their support in Season 2. Tenzing Niyogi, the CEO and League Commissioner of Ultimate Kho-Kho, commended the inaugural edition's accomplishments in attracting brand interest and forming new partnerships. The top priority remains choosing partners who are aligned with the league's long-term objectives.

India's top 145 players will compete in the upcoming Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2, showcasing the finest talent in the nation. Notably, 33 young competitors between the ages of 16 and 18 will infuse the competition with a youthful energy. The six teams vying for the coveted title are the defending

Ultimate Kho Kho: Previous Season 1 Popularity

Impressively, the first season reached 164 million viewers, demonstrating its success. Over the course of the 34 matches spread over three weeks, the league attracted a total viewership of 41 million in India and 64 million worldwide across TV and OTT platforms. Beyond all other non-cricket league, Season 1 also recorded 60 million interactions and 225 million video views across platforms. One of the most notable aspects of UKK Season 1 was the addition of the spider cam, which made it the first indoor league in India to use this cutting-edge equipment to record one of the fastest sports.
