India Shines at 9th Junior World Wushu Championships

India's Medal Haul and Standout Performances

• Indian team secured 7 medals: 2 gold, 1 silver, and 4 bronze
• Aryan made history by winning India's first-ever gold in the 48kg weight category
• Shaurya claimed the second gold medal, defeating an Iranian opponent
• Nang Mingbi Borphukan won silver in the Taolu Jian Shu C Group event
• Bronze medals won by Tanish Nagar (56kg), Abhijeet (60kg), Divyanshi (60kg women), and Yuvraj (42kg)

Championship Overview and Significance

• 9th Junior World Wushu Championships held in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei

• 498 athletes from 50 countries participated

• Competition divided into wushu sanda and wushu taolu events
• Taolu competition featured three age groups with 64 events for both male and female participants
• Sanda competition had two age groups with 17 events for both genders
