Karnataka Triumphs Over Vidarbha by 36 Runs to Win Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25 Final

In the final of the 2024-25 Vijay Hazare Trophy, Karnataka claimed a 36-run victory over Vidarbha on January 19, 2025, at Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara. This win secured Karnataka's fifth Vijay Hazare Trophy title. Despite a strong challenge from Vidarbha’s batters, Karnataka posted a commanding total and successfully defended it.

Karnataka’s Innings: Setting a Big Target
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Karnataka, led by Mayank Agarwal, built a solid innings. Ravichandran Smaran anchored the innings with a brilliant 101 runs off 92 balls, marking his second List A century. He was supported by Krishnan Srijith, who scored 78 runs off 74 balls.

Towards the end, Abhinav Manohar, known for his T20 hitting ability, added a crucial 79 runs off just 42 balls. Karnataka finished with a total of 348/6 in their 50 overs, setting a challenging target for Vidarbha.
