Ladakh's 9th Zanskar Festival 2024: Tradition Meets Vision

The Zanskar Festival, the first since the district was granted district status, took place in Sani, Zanskar sub-division. The event featured cultural showcases and performances from various Zanskar tribes, as well as renowned bands and artists.

    • 1,000 kid pens distributed to beneficiaries in Changthang area
    • 300 more to be distributed soon
  • Encouragement for Zanskar women to become "Lakhpati Didis" for economic self-reliance
  • Support for traditional folk artists, handloom weavers, and handicraft artisans
