• Nepal became the 101st member of the ISA on September 9, 2024
• Nepal handed over its Instrument of Ratification to the ISA in New Delhi
• The ratification was exchanged between:
  • Nepal's Charge d'affairs, Dr. Surendra Thapa
  • Joint Secretary (ED&MER) in India's External Affairs Ministry, Abhishek Singh
• The Ministry of External Affairs of India announced this development on social media

Overview of the International Solar Alliance (ISA)

• ISA is a global intergovernmental organization focused on solar power adoption
• Launched as a collaborative initiative between India and France
• Conceptualized during COP21 in Paris in 2015
