Haryana Launches ‘Samman Sanjeevani’ App for Women’s Welfare

On National Girl Child Day 2025, Haryana Cabinet Minister Shruti Choudhry launched the ‘Samman Sanjeevani app to boost the effectiveness of the ‘Mahila Evam Kishori Samman Yojana’. The program aims to deliver essential services, such as sanitary napkins, to BPL (Below Poverty Line) women and girls aged 10 to 45.

This app is part of the Haryana Government’s broader commitment to ensure the timely and efficient distribution of welfare benefits to its citizens. The launch event also marked the 10th anniversary of the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ initiative, a major women’s empowerment program.

Key Highlights of the Launch:

• Launch of ‘Samman Sanjeevani’ App: The app tracks services under the ‘Mahila Evam Kishori Samman Yojana’, ensuring timely distribution of benefits like sanitary napkins and collecting data on monthly updates for beneficiaries.
• Service under ‘Mahila Evam Kishori Samman Yojana’: BPL women and girls aged 10-45 receive sanitary napkins through Anganwadi centers and schools.
• Purpose of the App: The app is designed to monitor the timely delivery of services, streamline program administration, and prevent delays in service provision.
• 10th Anniversary of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’: The Women and Child Development Department is hosting a variety of programs, including rallies, cultural events, recognition ceremonies, and campaigns to raise awareness about women’s empowerment. Schoolgirls, successful women, and community groups are taking part in these initiatives to promote the value of daughters.
• Minister’s Address: Minister Shruti Choudhry underscored the importance of the new app and the continued success of the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ scheme.
