The President of India, exercising the authority under Article 224(1) of the Constitution, approved the appointment of Justice Ashish Naithani as a permanent judge. The Law Ministry's notification stated, “In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Ashish Naithani to be a Judge of the Uttarakhand High Court, effective from the date he assumes office.”

Oath Ceremony
Justice Ashish Naithani took his oath as a judge of the Uttarakhand High Court on January 9, 2025, at 10:15 A.M. in Nainital. The ceremony was attended by prominent dignitaries and members of the legal fraternity, marking a significant moment for the court.
