UP Education Revolution: 6 Special Education Zones Launched

The Uttar Pradesh government has launched six Special Education Zones (SEZs) in six districts to support the state's one-trillion-dollar economy goal. The initiative aims to host up to eight educational institutions across all zones, with 40 planned across all zones.

    • Acharya Narendra Dev University land in Ayodhya
    • RBS College space in Agra

  • Land acquisition ongoing in Gorakhpur and Bundelkhand
  • Each SEZ to host up to 8 educational institutions
  • Total of 40 educational institutions planned across all zones

Educational Enhancement and Future Goals:

  • Comprehensive education from pre-primary to university level
  • 42 universities and higher learning institutions planned for aspirational districts
  • Development of Multidisciplinary Education and Research Universities (MERUs)
  • Special incentives for top 50 NIRF-ranked institutions
  • Benefits for foreign universities including stamp duty exemption and capital grants
  • Focus on multidimensional education, research, and skill development
  • Emphasis on industry-level skills and practical training
  • Support for research and innovation to create job opportunities
