Indian Railways Unveils SwaRail SuperApp for a Streamlined Travel Experience

The Ministry of Railways has launched the 'SwaRail' SuperApp, which consolidates various railway services into one platform. The app is currently in beta testing and can be downloaded from both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

On January 31, 2025, the Ministry of Railways launched the SwaRail SuperApp, designed to bring multiple railway services into a single, easy-to-use platform. Currently in its beta phase, the app is available for download on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The goal is to enhance the user experience by combining various services, eliminating the need for multiple separate apps.

Services Offered by SwaRail SuperApp

The ‘SwaRail’ SuperApp includes a variety of services, such as:

  • Ticket Bookings: For both reserved and unreserved tickets.
  • Platform and Parcel Bookings: Enabling platform ticket reservations and parcel services management.
  • Train and PNR Inquiries: Providing real-time updates on train schedules and PNR statuses.
  • Food Ordering: Allowing passengers to order meals during their journey.
  • Rail Madad: A platform for lodging complaints and seeking assistance.

By integrating these services, the app aims to enhance convenience and reduce the need for multiple apps, saving storage space on devices.

Beta Testing Participation

The Ministry of Railways invites users to join the beta testing phase of the ‘SwaRail’ SuperApp. Interested individuals can download the app from the respective app stores. Existing users of RailConnect or UTS Mobile App can log in with their current credentials, while new users can register easily with minimal data input. The ministry encourages feedback to refine the app before its official release.

Unique Features of SwaRail SuperApp

The ‘SwaRail’ SuperApp offers several key features:

  • Single Sign-On: Users can access all services using one set of credentials, which work across existing Indian Railways apps like IRCTC RailConnect and UTS Mobile App.
  • Integrated Services: The app combines different services to provide comprehensive information. For example, PNR inquiries will show relevant train details.
  • User-Friendly Onboarding: The simplified registration process makes it easy for users to sign up using existing credentials.
  • Secure Login: Offers multiple login options, including numeric m-PIN and biometric authentication, for a secure and smooth user experience.

These features are aimed at offering a smarter, more convenient way to access Indian Railways services.
