The central government has issued a notification confirming the appointments of Justice Alok Aradhe as Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court and Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya as Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court. The notification, issued on Tuesday, follows the Supreme Court Collegium's recommendations made on January 7, 2025. The collegium had proposed Justice Alok Aradhe's elevation to the Bombay High Court and Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya's transfer to the Delhi High Court.

• Madhya Pradesh High Court: Justice Aradhe was appointed an Additional Judge in December 2009 and became a Permanent Judge in February 2011.
• Jammu and Kashmir High Court: He was transferred to the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir, where he served as Acting Chief Justice from 2015 to 2018.
• Telangana High Court: In 2023, he was appointed Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court, where his tenure saw significant rulings and administrative reforms.
