Uttar Pradesh Govt. to Launch Innovative Bioplastic Park

The Uttar Pradesh government has announced the establishment of a bioplastic park in Lakhimpur Kheri, covering 1000 hectares of land and estimated to cost Rs 2 billion (Rs 2000 crore). The park aims to address environmental pollution caused by petroleum-based plastics.

The present government headed by Yogi Adityanath in Uttar Pradesh has declared the development of a bioplastic park to fight pollution of petroleum based plastics. This strategic plan specifically targets this area since it seeks to capitalize on agricultural specialties and provide more eco-friendly replacements to plastics.

Understanding Bioplastics
