Gastrodia indica: New Orchid Species Discovered in Sikkim

Gastrodia indica, the first known cleistogamous orchid in India, was discovered in Fambonglho Wildlife Sanctuary in Sikkim. It is self-pollinating, holomycotrophic, and grows in dense leaf litter.
