The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is a constitutional body established to conduct examinations and facilitate recruitment to various Group A and Group B posts in the state government of Uttar Pradesh. It functions under the provisions of Article 315 to 323 of the Indian Constitution.
Headquartered in Prayagraj, UPPSC plays a pivotal role in strengthening the administrative machinery of the state by selecting competent and qualified individuals for civil services and departmental posts.

UPPSC Mains Syllabus - Essay Paper
The Essay Paper in the UPPSC Mains Examination consists of three sections. Candidates will have to choose one topic from each section and write an essay of 700 words on the selected topic.
The essay topics in these sections are based on the following spheres:
Section A : (1) Literature and Culture. (2) Social sphere. (3) Political sphere.
Section B : (1) Science, Environment, and Technology. (2) Economic Sphere (3) Agriculture, Industry, and Trade.
Section C : (1) National and International Events. (2) Natural Calamities, Landslide, Earthquake, Deluge, Drought etc. (3) National Development programs and projects.
